I haven’t had much time to blog lately. Someone said, it’s better to blog short and often, then long and never. So here’s a status update on how my challenges are going! Have you signed up for any New Year challenges? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
- Declutter like a Mother challenge – This is a great challenge. I think it works because the time commitment is relatively small. 30 minutes a day, or some days I just go at it for an hour if I miss a day. This week is TOYS. AAAHHHH. Fact is, the house is seemingly full…my 5 year old is very “keepy”, and it’s going to be scary. But hey, once we get it all in a pile maybe some obvious donate-ables will stand out. Trying to think positive here! Biggest challenge so far? Getting the donations to their destination (vs. just sitting in various piles around the house…)
- Frugalwoods Uber Frugal Month challenge – still going badly. I think what I may do is keep all the emails for reference and do it in February. I am certain the Frugalwoods are worth it!
- 7 day Sugar Detox challenge – This has gone, so badly. I caved around day 3. It’s sad that I can’t do something for 7 days. Also, I’ve gained 2 lbs in the past 2 weeks. Time to get serious about getting healthy.
- Afford Anything One Tweak a Week Challenge – I love this one! One tweak a week is way easier than daily habit changes. This week’s tweak is tracking and knowing what your net worth is. I pretty much have it covered, but I’m going to update all my numbers in YNAB. Next week is to check my credit report which I already do regularly, so I may just verify it this week and then be a week ahead. WOOOHOOO!
I’m still working on my official top priority goals for 2019 (both financial and otherwise). Stay tuned for more on this!
