Monthly FIRE (Financial Independence) Report – June 2020

Well hello, and welcome to month 21 of my journey toย  FI (Financial Independence) and possibly eventually RE(Retire Early). This is the regular Financial Independence report, where I tell you what happened, and realize I’m not doing that great at getting to FI. Ok, that sounded negative…let’s say it keeps me focused to improve my financial situation.

Obviously, I’m not living up to my desire to blog on a more regular basis. Here I am, 27 days into July, posting stats fro June. How embarrassing! Anyway, enough about that, let’s get into the HOT details!

Saved: $817.

Over 3x what we saved last month! Ramping it up again for July.

Extra Income from Side Hustles: $328.

Ebay Sales: $100

Facebook sales: $165

UserTesting, plus a couple other testing sites: $62

Home Insurance 2029 Home Insurance was due this month. Many have said “This is high!” however when checking rates, it doesn’t appear to be for this area and my type of home. Anyway, I will be shopping around next year, regardless.
Mobile Phones (2) 85

Groceries, Toiletries, Supplies 1168 A typical month, but not what I want it to be. I said back in January I’d work on lowering this…last month was in the 800s!

Total Expenses $7,961

Expenses were up, but that was mainly due to it being home insurance month, so based on that, I am pretty pleased with the expenses this month! Room for improvement exists in the areas of groceries & supplies, home improvement, and internet service cost. There’s always expenses to challenge.

Thank you for reading this month’s Financial Independence report, please visit again next month, when I try to post more than once! T out.
