Month 15 on the Journey to FIRE – December 2019
Well hello. I’m thinking going forward I should just call this the monthly FIRE report. Like, I feel like I’m talking about a toddler. A 15-month old toddler. Hmm. That’s a good analogy to where I’m at on this journey to FIRE. Just a toddler, bumbling around and hitting my head on things. On to the good stuff! Continue reading “Month 15 on the Journey to FIRE – December 2019”
Month 14 on the Journey to FIRE – November 2019
Well hello there. Posts are getting scarce. Is one post a month enough to bring the boys to the yard? Unlikely. I’ll need to work on that. Let’s get right to business, shall we? Continue reading “Month 14 on the Journey to FIRE – November 2019”
Month 13 of the Journey to FIRE – October 2019
So I’ve been trying to decide next steps for this blog. Does it still make sense to have a monthly report? What is the benefit of this? I guess it gives me a good picture of how the month went at a more macro level, which I would definitely not take the time to analyze otherwise. One Year on the Journey to FIRE
Well, here we are. One year ago, I started lumbering towards the destination of Financial Independence Retire Early. I say lumbering, because it feels like my journey to FIRE is moving in slo-mo. Continue reading “One Year on the Journey to FIRE”
Months 10 & 11 FIRE Report – July and August 2019
11 months? REALLY? Wowza. In many ways I feel I’ve not done enough. In other ways I feel I’ve done so much more than I would have without a significant change in my mindset 11 months ago. I don’t know which one outweighs the other. Perhaps that isn’t important at all. However, I am definitely going to reflect on this as the first year of attempting FI/RE comes to a close. Welcome to the monthly FIRE report. Continue reading “Months 10 & 11 FIRE Report – July and August 2019”
Irregular FIRE Report – Mid-August, 2019
Well hello there.
It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? Vacation week+ went by in a flurry. Back to the grind. Honestly I didn’t get much done on vacation. It was a fantastic escape from all things FIRE. Regardless, here’s a few things I did! Continue reading “Irregular FIRE Report – Mid-August, 2019”
Semi-Weekly FIRE Report – Mid July, 2019
Since I haven’t done a semi-weekly FIRE report since this one back in JUNE, I figured it’s about time to HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE and get back on the FIRE bandwagon.
One thing I like about doing the weekly reports (or semi-weekly, or occasional) is that it forces me to look back and really think about what I’ve been doing, if anything, to propel myself to FIRE. The fact is, I’ve been at this for almost 10 months, and that means I need to see progress. MORE of it. DEMAND MORE! Continue reading “Semi-Weekly FIRE Report – Mid July, 2019”
