If you have been around here long enough, you’ve probably heard of me mention passive income on a few occasions. I’m starting to become a bit obsessed with it so I want to harness that, and try to focus my efforts more on the passivity, and less on “RANDOM WAYS TO MAKE EXTRA CASH!” Examples of random ways I’ve attempted to increase my income that are not passive include putting gigs on Fiverr, UserTesting and other similar testing sites, and selling/reselling items online. I’m getting a bit of extra taxes back for 2019…for the first time ever.
Here in Canada, you can deposit money into your retirement account before March of 2020. You can then deduct the amount on your taxes. If you’re a Canadian reading this, you are likely aware. Continue reading “I’m getting a bit of extra taxes back for 2019…for the first time ever.”
Day One of DIY Investing

If you’ve been reading my blog you know that I haven’t been saving much during my aggressive debt obliteration. I’ve been frustrated that I cannot fund my brandy-new TFSA Questrade account to try my hand at investing due to the $1000 you need to have laying around. What am I, a thousand-aire? Sheesh. Continue reading “The T on FIRE $500 Challenge – Are You READY!?”
Learning about Investing – Diary of a person who knows zero things
After listening to tons of podcasts and reading tons of blogs about FI/RE, investing is something I need to learn about. Things like, what is an index fund? What’s an ETF? What the f&*k is everyone talking about? Continue reading “Learning about Investing – Diary of a person who knows zero things”
