Statements and Plans

Do you ever feel like you just want to start fresh? I guess it’s a new year so it’s not a bad idea really. Do you ever make statements and plans that you don’t follow through on? Well, that’s what this post is about. Continue reading “Statements and Plans”

Passive Income – My New Focus in Life

If you have been around here long enough, you’ve probably heard of me mention passive income on a few occasions. I’m starting to become a bit obsessed with it so I want to harness that, and try to focus my efforts more on the passivity, and less on “RANDOM WAYS TO MAKE EXTRA CASH!” Examples of random ways I’ve attempted to increase my income that are not passive include putting gigs on Fiverr, UserTesting and other similar testing sites, and selling/reselling items online. Time for another “No Internet” challenge?

For those of you that have been reading my blog for a long time, you know that I once did a “no internet” challenge back around month 6 of trying to achieve Financial Independence / FIRE. For those of you who are newbs, welcome, and thank you for coming!

Back when I did the challenge in 2019, I wrote this post about it before I started, this one during (yes, blogging was an exception to my no internet rule), and this one after to reflect on the experience.

Well…I’m thinking of doing it AGAIN!

A New Challenge: Declutter My Entire Life

If you have read any of my past blog posts, you will know that I like to join or make up challenges in an attempt to trick my brain into doing stuff. It is sometimes successful and sometimes not. So, I just keep at it and try to make progress. Remember the time when I challenged myself to make an extra $1000, or when I quit internet for a whole month? Those were the days. 2021 Spending – Less than previous years, at least?

So just for kicks, I went back to compare spending year over year from 2019 (I have solid data as far back as that date). If you have read my blog, you know that I have been pretty good at posting annual spending reports, namely this one from 2019 and this one from 2020. Happy New Year!

Good Day FI-Seekers (and ACHIEVERS! You know who you are).

Just popping in to say, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Aren’t you glad 2021 is over? I sure am. That said, 2022 isn’t really seeming much better at the present moment, at least not in my neck of the woods. COVID is rampant. It’s frickin’ cold. I am still not FI. Continue reading “Happy New Year!”

The Slog

Life is feeling very sloggy lately.

Slog: to plod (one’s way) perseveringly especially against difficulty.

Upcoming FI Activities in the life of T

Alternative title for this post: list of random financial shit I need/want to do.

Since I haven’t posted in awhile, and I’m sure you are getting super-bored with nothing to read, I’m posting this list of FI activities I want to work on this week and beyond to hopefully 1) inspire others and 2) hear about YOUR FI activities this week to inspire myself. Here goes! Continue reading “Upcoming FI Activities in the life of T”

SPAR! Habit Building App Review

Hello, Interwebs! Well, if you read my recent post about my recap of “No Internet Month 2019”, you may have noticed me mention a new app I am trying out called SPAR!  My financially savvy friend, who I’ll call MR, introduced me to it. Now I’m hooked! I’ve been meaning to write a review of this app so I thought now might be a good time, since I’m slacking off on all the good habits post-vacation, and I need SPAR! to kick me in the pants.

This Review has been updated to reflect 2021 information and is not sponsored. You are getting the raw, unedited opinions of me, myself and I.
